For those following me on Instagram & Facebook, I am also writing articles in the TASTE section of the amazing e-mag MUSEEUM. Behind this project, Julia Tarasyuk and Lina Kobeissi, who are bringing a visit to the museum to a whole new level through the 5 senses. Did you know that you could play table foot at la Maison Rouge after a photography exposition? Or have you ever heard of the secret terrass near the Grand Palais?

Follow them on @MuseeumNet on Instagram or their website here for more infos!

Palais de Tokyo – Paris

August is the best month for visiting museums in Paris. It is very calm and there are always interesting exhibitions. Grace wrote an article recently about the young Chinese artist Tianzhuo Chen, whose works are currently shown at Palais de Tokyo. What awaits you is far from the usual calligraphies and delicate porcelain vase you expect from Asian art: Tianzhuo Chen is rather a contemporary artist, tackling various themes such as drugs, sex and rave universe with kitsch, pop and surprising installation. I did not take any pictures as it was dark but I let your imagination work. Palais de Tokyo Patrick Neu artist French Alsace Glass Paris Sugarsheet art exhibition

If this is too brutal for you, maybe the smoked glasses by the french artist Patrick Neu will please you more or the dark-aquatic installation by Celeste Boursier-Mougenot. The souvenir shop of Palais de Tokyo is certainly one of the best in Paris: they have a huge selection of edgy magazines and they sell items from the italian Toiletpaper. Do not forget to bring some coins to have your face portrayed in the vintage Fotoautomat. Palais de Tokyo Paris Sugarsheet exhibition museum Eiffel Tower Best Tianzhuo Zhen

I definitely love August in Paris as it is empty and you feel like a tourist. Enjoy before the Rentrée!
