I went to Amsterdam this Summer with a friend for a week end. We stayed in the East side of the city then moved to Jordan. For me it was one of the prettiest area in Amsterdam (Vondel Park area also). I particularly loved Westerstraat, where you have many bars and cafés. I went nearly everyday to Headfirst Coffee Roasters.

Not only the coffees were amazing but their pastries too. If you want a healthier alternative to muffins, you have « Bliss balls », made with Medjool dates and almonds.

There is a market held every Saturday morning where you can find vintage clothes and other various items. I had lunch at SLA, their raw carrot cake and their different juice combination were all delicious:
